It is the opposite of a <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/villain\/\" title=\"Villain Definition \u2013 Learn What Is a Villain in Poker\">villain<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, you could say something like, two players <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/limp\/\" title=\"Limp Definition \u2013 Learn What A Limp Is In Poker\">limp<\/a> for $200, hero raises to $1,000, and the button <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/3-bet-poker-strategy\/\" title=\"3-Betting in Poker: How to Pick the Right Spot for a 3-Bet\">3-bets<\/a> to $3,500. The limpers fold and the hero makes the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By using the term hero in this description, we are making it clear who we are focusing on in this <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/hand-history\/\" title=\"Hand History Definition \u2013 Learn What Is a Hand History in Poker\">hand history<\/a> and whose decisions we\u2019re primarily interested in.
