It describes a player betting their entire stack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, you could hear something as the <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/cutoff\/\" title=\"Cutoff Definition \u2013 Learn What A Cutoff Is In Poker\">cutoff<\/a> opens for 2.5 blinds, the <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/small-blind\/\" title=\"Small Blind Definition \u2013 Learn What A Small Blind Is In Poker\">small blind<\/a> calls, and I jam for 20 bigs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This sentence means that the player from the <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/big-blind\/\" title=\"Big Blind Definition \u2013 Learn What Is A Big Blind In Poker\">big blind<\/a> wagered their entire stack of 20 big blinds over the original raise and the call in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Broadly speaking, most poker players will use the term jam more often when there is action ahead of them.
