Once your cards hit the muck, you\u2019re out of <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-hands\/\" title=\"Poker Hand Rankings &amp; The Best Texas Hold\u2019em Hands\">hand<\/a> and no longer have a shot at winning the <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/pot\/\" title=\"Pot Definition \u2013 Learn What Is a Pot in Poker\">pot<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a verb, to muck means the same as to <a href=\"http:\/\/pokercoaching.com\/blog\/poker-terms\/fold\/\" title=\"Fold Definition \u2013 Learn What Is a Fold in Poker\">fold<\/a>. So, when you muck your hand, you fold.
