WSOP Online is the only licensed poker site in Nevada.
It shares tables with New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Online poker is legal here, but sweepstakes poker is gone for now, since ClubWPT Gold stopped play in September 2026 and Stake.us excludes the state.

Best Nevada Poker Sites Right Now
Nevada was the first state to license online poker, and today it has exactly one licensed site.
| Site | Network | Shares players with | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| WSOP Online | WSOP (its own network) | New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania | The only licensed site in Nevada, with a four-state shared pool |
BetMGM Poker, PokerStars and BetRivers Poker all run in other states, but none of them is licensed in Nevada.
WSOP Online
WSOP Online is the World Series of Poker’s licensed site, and it’s been the only real money option in Nevada for years.
It’s also the only Nevada option that reaches beyond state lines. Nevada players sit at the same tables as players in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania, so traffic is far bigger than Nevada’s population alone would support.
Tournaments are its main draw, and the shared player pool keeps the schedule bigger than a one-state site could manage.
You need to be 21 and inside Nevada to play. A Las Vegas hotel room counts, so visitors can sign up during a trip.

Offshore and Sweepstakes Options
A year ago, Nevada players had a few sweepstakes rooms to choose from. That list is now empty.
ClubWPT Gold, the World Poker Tour’s sweepstakes poker site, stopped play in Nevada at the end of September 2026. It told players it hopes to come back after changing its product, but it gave no timeline. Stake.us, a sweepstakes casino with a poker room, excludes Nevada in its terms, and Global Poker left in 2025.
That leaves one room on our list that accepts sign-ups from Nevada.
CoinPoker runs cash games and tournaments around the clock, and you can deposit by card or crypto. The current welcome offer and code are in the box above.
CoinPoker is an offshore site. It isn’t licensed by Nevada or any other US state, so the Gaming Control Board can’t help you if you have a dispute. Nevada law also makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly place a bet with an unlicensed operator from inside the state. Only deposit what you’re comfortable having on a site without state oversight.
You can read the full CoinPoker review before you decide, and our sweepstakes poker guide explains how sites like ClubWPT Gold work in the states where they still run.
Shared Player Pools Explained
Nevada is a founding member of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement, or MSIGA. It started in 2014 as a deal between Nevada and Delaware, and it lets a licensed site seat players from several member states at the same tables.
Six states belong today. They’re Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia.
Membership alone doesn’t connect you to all of them. Each site links only the states where it holds a license.
- WSOP Online pools Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
- BetRivers Poker pools Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware and West Virginia. It isn’t in Nevada.
Nevada and Delaware no longer share tables. Delaware’s old WSOP and 888 sites closed in late 2023, and Delaware’s current site runs on the BetRivers network.
Bigger pools mean bigger guarantees and games running at more stakes, which is why the four-state WSOP link matters so much for a state Nevada’s size.
Who Can Play and How Sites Verify You
You don’t have to live in Nevada. You do have to be 21 or older and physically inside the state when you play.
WSOP Online checks your location with geolocation software on your phone or computer. If you’re across the line in California, Arizona or Utah, you can log in but you can’t sit at a real money table.
You’ll also verify your identity when you register. Expect to give your name, date of birth and address, and have a photo ID ready in case the site asks for it.
Your account works in the other WSOP states too, as long as you’re physically inside one of them when you play.

Nevada Online Poker Law
Nevada legalized online poker in February 2013, when Governor Brian Sandoval signed the state’s interactive gaming law. The first site went live that April.
The law covers poker only. There’s no licensed online casino in Nevada, even though the state is the home of live casino gaming.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board and the Nevada Gaming Commission license and police the sites. A licensed site has to keep player funds safe, verify your age and location, and answer to the regulator if something goes wrong.
Nevada is also one of the few states with a law aimed at the player. NRS 465.093 says you can’t knowingly place a bet from Nevada with an operator that isn’t licensed to take it, and a violation is a misdemeanor.
Sweepstakes sites aren’t named in any Nevada statute. The state treats them as unlicensed gambling under its existing law, and SB 256 in 2025 raised the stakes for operators who ignore that.
The Legislature meets in odd years, so the next session is in 2027. We didn’t find any proposal to add new poker sites or online casino games.
Live Poker in Nevada
Live poker is legal across the state at licensed casinos. The Strip has eight poker rooms after two closures in 2026.
- Aria
- Bellagio
- Caesars Palace
- Horseshoe
- Mandalay Bay
- MGM Grand
- Venetian
- Wynn
All of them are in Las Vegas. Planet Hollywood and Resorts World closed their rooms in 2026, so don’t plan a session around either.
There are more rooms at off-Strip casinos in Las Vegas and in Reno. Hours and tables change often, so check with the room before you go.
You need to be 21 to play.
