Hijack Definition – Learn What A Hijack Is In Poker

The hijack is a poker position located two seats right of the button and directly on the right of the cutoff seat. In full-ring poker games, it’s considered a late position, while in 6-max format games, it’s referred to as the middle position.

It is considered a good position in a full-ring game since the player in the hijack only has CO and BTN sitting in position after him, while both SB and BB will be out of position in postflop betting rounds.
