Middle Position Definition – Learn What Is a Middle Position in Poker

In poker, the term middle position refers to players who act after early position players before the flop but still have the cutoff and button to act after them.

On a nine-handed table, there are two or three middle positions, which are the players who act after the UTG (Under the Gun) and UTG+ players. They are usually referred to as MP1, MP2, and MP3 or can have more specific names such as Hi-jack or Lo-jack.
