In poker, the term middle position refers to players who act after early position players before the flop but still have the cutoff and button to act after them.
On a nine-handed table, there are two or three middle positions, which are the players who act after the UTG (Under the Gun) and UTG+ players. They are usually referred to as MP1, MP2, and MP3 or can have more specific names such as Hi-jack or Lo-jack.
