Great casino offer CoinPoker is an offshore poker site. It runs cash games and tournaments around the clock, and you can deposit by card or crypto.
ClubWPT Gold is the World Poker Tour’s sweepstakes poker site. Of the rooms here, it’s the one built purely around poker, under a name most players already know.
Stake.us is a sweepstakes casino with a poker room. Most players know it for casino games, but the poker tables run on the same sweepstakes model as ClubWPT Gold.
The current offers and codes are in the boxes above.
CoinPoker is an offshore site. It isn’t licensed by Kansas or any other US state, so no Kansas agency can help you if you have a dispute. Only deposit what you’re comfortable having on a site without state oversight.

How Sweepstakes Poker Works
Sweepstakes poker sites operate in most states because you never have to buy anything to play. They use two kinds of coins.
- Gold Coins are for fun only. You can buy more, but you can’t cash them out.
- Sweeps Coins come free, as a bonus with coin packages or by a free entry method such as a mail-in request. Once you’ve played them through, you can redeem them for prizes under the site’s rules.
That no-purchase-necessary setup is how these sites argue they fall under sweepstakes law rather than gambling law. Kansas hasn’t passed any law about sweepstakes games, and we couldn’t find a bill or a cease and desist letter aimed at them.
ClubWPT Gold works differently. It moved away from the two-coin setup in 2025 and now uses a single currency called Chips, tied to a poker training membership.
Our sweepstakes poker guide explains redemption rules, ID checks and how the bigger sites compare.
Kansas Online Poker Law in Plain English
Nothing changed for online poker in Kansas in 2026. Here’s where the law stands.
- Under K.S.A. 21-6404, making a bet is a class B nonperson misdemeanor. It’s a general law that doesn’t mention the internet.
- The state’s casinos are owned by the Kansas Lottery and managed by private companies, with the Racing and Gaming Commission handling oversight. Tribal casinos run under their own compacts.
- Sports betting, online and at casinos, has been legal since September 2022. Online poker and online casino games were left out.
An older attempt to add an explicit online gambling offense failed years ago. We couldn’t find a case of Kansas charging a player for playing poker online.
The 2026 session didn’t change anything. The only casino bills we found were smoking bans, HB 2252 and SB 176, which died in committee in April. Source, Legal Sports Report, September 1, 2026
Can I Play PokerStars, WSOP or GGPoker in Kansas?
No. PokerStars, WSOP Online and BetMGM Poker only run in states that license online poker, and Kansas isn’t one of them. GGPoker doesn’t accept US players at all.
You can play on those licensed sites while you’re physically inside a state that has them. Michigan is the closest. See our Michigan poker guide.
Live Poker in Kansas
Live poker is legal at Kansas casinos. The biggest and most reliable room is at Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City.
- Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, Kansas City
- Kansas Star Casino, Mulvane, listed with a room by some directories but not others, so call ahead
- Golden Eagle Casino, Horton, a tribal casino reported to spread poker
If you’re near Kansas City, the Missouri side has several more rooms. See our Missouri poker guide.
You need to be 21 to play.
Will Kansas Legalize Online Poker?
Not soon, as far as anyone can tell. We couldn’t find an online poker or online casino bill in the 2026 session, and no sweepstakes ban has been filed.
Kansas did legalize sports betting in 2022, so a future online casino push isn’t impossible. We check this page every month and we’ll update it the day a bill shows up.
