CoinPoker is an offshore poker site. It runs cash games and tournaments around the clock, and you can deposit by card or crypto.

ClubWPT Gold is the World Poker Tour’s sweepstakes poker site. Of the rooms here, it’s the one built purely around poker, under a name most players already know.

Stake.us is a sweepstakes casino with a poker room. Most players know it for casino games, but the poker tables run on the same sweepstakes model as ClubWPT Gold.

The current offers and codes are in the boxes above.

CoinPoker is an offshore site. It isn’t licensed by Missouri or any other US state, so no Missouri agency can help you if you have a dispute. Only deposit what you’re comfortable having on a site without state oversight.

How Sweepstakes Poker Works

Sweepstakes poker sites operate in most states because you never have to buy anything to play. They use two kinds of coins.

  • Gold Coins are for fun only. You can buy more, but you can’t cash them out.
  • Sweeps Coins come free, as a bonus with coin packages or by a free entry method such as a mail-in request. Once you’ve played them through, you can redeem them for prizes under the site’s rules.

That no-purchase-necessary setup is how these sites argue they fall under sweepstakes law rather than gambling law. The Missouri Gaming Commission oversees casinos, not sweepstakes sites, and the state hasn’t acted against them.

ClubWPT Gold works differently. It moved away from the two-coin setup in 2025 and now uses a single currency called Chips, tied to a poker training membership.

Our sweepstakes poker guide explains redemption rules, ID checks and how the bigger sites compare.

What Changed for Online Poker in Missouri

Plenty happened around gambling in Missouri this year. None of it touched online poker.

  • May 2026. A Senate committee killed a bill to license video lottery terminals, after it had passed the House by one vote in February. Source, Missouri Independent, May 6, 2026
  • February 2026. A federal judge ruled that the unregulated slot machines found in gas stations are illegal gambling devices. Source, St. Louis Public Radio, February 17, 2026
  • December 2025. Legal sports betting launched on December 1, online and at casinos, after voters approved it in November 2024. Online poker and casino games weren’t included.
  • October 2025. A private class action, Killham v. Stake, was filed in Jackson County claiming Stake.us runs an illegal online casino. No ruling had been reported as of May 2026, and Stake.us still accepts Missouri players. Source, Lines.com, May 2026

Missouri law only allows gambling that the state licenses, which means the riverboat casinos, the lottery and now sports betting. It doesn’t mention online poker or sweepstakes sites, and we couldn’t find a case of Missouri charging a player for playing online.

Can I Play PokerStars, WSOP or GGPoker in Missouri?

No. PokerStars, WSOP Online and BetMGM Poker only run in states that license online poker, and Missouri isn’t one of them. GGPoker doesn’t accept US players at all.

You can play on those licensed sites while you’re physically inside a state that has them, even as a visitor. Michigan is the closest. See our Michigan poker guide.

Live Poker in Missouri

Live poker is legal at Missouri’s licensed riverboat casinos, and both big metro areas have rooms.

  • Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in St. Charles
  • Hollywood Casino St. Louis in Maryland Heights
  • Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City in Kansas City

A few other casinos in St. Louis and Kansas City have been listed with poker rooms, but directories disagree, so check with the casino before you drive over.

You need to be 21 to play.

Will Missouri Legalize Online Poker?

Not soon. Sports betting took a voter initiative to get done after years of failed bills, and online poker wasn’t part of it.

We couldn’t find an online poker, online casino or sweepstakes bill in the 2026 session. Lawmakers spent their gambling time on video lottery terminals instead, and that bill died too.

We check this page every month and we’ll update it the day an online poker bill is filed.
