The poker term any two cards is often used to describe a situation where a player is likely to continue with any holding. It can also be used as a jargon expression to describe a player who gets involved with a lot of pots regardless of their holdings, i.e., “they’ll play any two cards.”
One example where this expression is often used is when a big blind faces a min-raise and several callers. Closing the action and getting great pot odds, the player in the big blind will continue with any two cards, meaning that there are virtually no cards not good enough to see the flop with, given the odds.
When used in a different context, the expression describes a loose player who plays like a maniac and doesn’t like to fold. So, your fellow player might tell you something along the lines of, “Don’t try to 3-bet Mike Light; he’ll call you with any two cards.”
